Autumn Pillow Project aka CQtober 2024 - Seam 19, Buttonhole Fans
#CQtober2024 Buttonhole stitch fans have been a nemesis of mine for a long time. But I've been practicing, and all that practice finally paid off! I'm really happy with how these turned out! The trick for me was to start them with a nearly straight buttonhole stitch art the beginning rather than using a lazy daisy to start. The effect was to make the base (or top in this orientation) nice and flat! To join, I slipped the needle and thread under the last stitch of the previous fan. I'm so happy with how they turned out!
