CQtober 2024 - Seam 16, Straight Sided Feather Stitch
#CQtober2024 Feather stitches are my favorite stitches and straight sided is an interesting variation. Where most feather stitches are rather organic in appearance, with a bit of twisting and turning, straight sided feather stitch is very geometric. It's a little tricky to figure out at first, but the results are lovely. I like this one done in a heavy thread so it really stands out, but didn't have the correct color to do so on this project. I softened it with a fan of lazy daisies and pistil stitches on either side. Just a short seam, but I'm happy with how it turned out! You can find the video here! Happy Stitching!
